Janet Kuivila has a Master’s Degree in Social Work and a Ph.D. in Psychology. She was a therapist for many years before taking time off to write and raise her family. Originally from Oregon, she now lives in an l850’s farmhouse in Chagrin Falls, Ohio with her husband Tom, and their children Parker, Ellie and Reed.
Right now the animals living at Orchard Hill are Pippin (a Weimeraner), Fuji, ( a lab mix), and Braeburn, ( a Golden Retriever.) There are many calico cats which are all descendants of the original Orchard Hill calico cat who was a gift when the house was purchased by us in l995. In addition, there is Moonlight the pony and Chicken the parrot as well as numerous hamsters, an iguana and a tarantula.
Jane McKelvey, M.A., A.T., practices art therapy at a counseling center outside Cleveland, Ohio. She specializes in child art therapy. She utilizes the healing properties of the creative process in her work and in her life. Jane is originally from the Cleveland area. She and her daughter Bradley live in a century home in Chagrin Falls, Ohio with their cat Fiona.
